Port Canaveral

Walt Disney Cruise Terminal Port CanaveralAll great vacations have a starting place, and for a Disney Cruise Vacation, that starting place is the magnificent Disney Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral. While there are certainly nice - and not so nice - cruise terminals around the world, the Disney Cruise Terminal is like none other, especially since it was designed exclusively for use by the Disney Cruise Line. Be sure to take a look around while you are there - the tile mural depicting the cruise routes through the Caribbean is something that you don't want to miss. Keep your cameras handy as well, because you never know if any Disney characters will come strolling by, welcoming guests aboard the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic.

Parking is available at the cruise terminal - be sure to follow the directives of the signs and guides, so that you can drop off your luggage - and passengers - clode to the cruise terminal before parking your vehicle.

If you arrive early for your Walt Disney Cruise Vacation - or plan to stay later - there are several places to spend some time in the area. These include:

  • The Kennedy Space Center - just about a 20 minute drive from the cruise terminal. You'll probably need several hours to fully enjoy the Space Center, but for a more limited visit, consider a visit to the Astronaut Hall of Fame, located at the entrance to the Kennedy Space Center.
  • Cocoa Beach - famous for sun and surf, it is just a 10 minute drive from the cruise terminal. There are bath houses with showers at several locations next to Cocoa Beach for your convenience.
